I don't see any note on the toolbar to indicate buzzes or flams or drags. Maybe that was a detour I didn't need to go into? If that works, the next question is how to use /setup the controller to record the sticking? that is, one pad is the left hand and another is the right - so that it goes into Finale with the correct sticking? That got into the whole area of instrument setup. I see a tip in other posts that I can try - turn the controller off then turning it back on again before I start Finale PrintMusic 2011. The metronome would start clicking but notes wouldn't appear. However, I can't get Hyberscribe to work. If I can get this working this would be a great way for us to record new material from guest teachers. I bought a drum controller (Alesis ControlPad percussion controller) so I could use Hyperscribe for entry. If I wanted to indicate that these are snare hits for playback, how do I do this? When I enter notes it indicates different drum set notation (hihat, rim, etc) which doesn't bother me as long as that doesn't print on the page. I added a generic percussion staff (5-line) to my piece, intending to implement the sticking this way. ![]() everything recorded on the line, so I lose the sticking. I couldn't get the notes to sit above and below the line to get the sticking I wanted. When setting up the page I selected different staff types to see what I could get.īass Line (single) seemed to be the monolinear staff that I want but it was for a bass drum. I decided to just enter parts using simple entry. The music scanning feature failed when trying to interpret music in a monolinear staff.ĭo I just accept this? Or is there some way to make this work? ![]() The music that I use is written with a monolinear staff, just one line, with the right hand above the line and the left below (sticking).ġ. I bought Finale PrintMusic 2011 so I could notate the drum parts for my bagpipe band (snares, tenors, bass). ![]() MakeMusic Forum > Public Forums > Finale - Windows - FORUM HAS MOVED! > Percussion notation - monolinear staves
